Since we are super cool we compiled this guide about Japan in general and Comiket in particular. If you feel something is lacking, poke us and we'll add it. Sometimes we repeat some stuff over, but it's usually because we want to ensure you get those points…
On the parts about the Comiket, it might feel a bit overwhelming, but rest assured, you can enjoy Comiket without following those. Just like one can enjoy a glass of Jack Daniels as a good whisky - by being a faggot. If you just want to 'come and see how it is', buy a CD and a few doujinshi from minor circles, then there's no problem. Otherwise, most of those advice will be of critical importance to you.
As a reminder, a single Comiket day is about 100k 200k visitors coming together to buy the very same stuff as you (that's the second event in the world gathering as much people, first one being the holy mecqua), and, spoiler, there's not half a million of each items.
This guide was written with a touch of humor, but its content is definitely serious.
